Blog Tour: My Darling Arrow by Saffron A. Kent

Darling Arrow,

I shouldn’t be writing this.

It’s not as if I’m ever going to send you this letter, and there are a million reasons why.

First of all, I was sent to this reform school as a punishment for a petty, totally inconsequential crime. Not to ogle the principal’s hot son around the campus.

Second of all, you’re a giant jerk. You’re arrogant and moody and so cold. Sometimes I think I shouldn’t even like you.

But strangely your coldness sets me on fire.

The way your athletic body moves on the soccer field, and the way your powerful thighs sprawl across that motorcycle of yours, make me go inappropriately breathless.

But that’s not the worst part.

The worst part is that you, Arrow Carlisle, are not only the principal’s hot son.

You also happen to be the love of my sister’s life.

And I really shouldn’t be thinking about my sister’s boyfriend, or rather fiancé (I overheard a conversation about the ring that I shouldn’t have).

Now if I can only stop writing you these meaningless letters that I’ll never send and you’ll never read…

Never yours,

Salem

NOTE: This book is a standalone and DOES NOT contain cheating

My Review:
Saffron A. Kent is the bomb diggity. I seriously love her stories. I'd never enjoyed age-gap stories before.

Salem has been in love with her sisters boyfriend since the moment she laid eyes on him when she was 10. She spent 8 years wishing with everything she had that Arrow would finally notice her, but he never did. When he tells him, mom, he's going to propose Salem knows she has to leave, only she gets caught and now she's stuck at St. Mary's reform school. Then she finds out Arrow is injured and is coming home and he's going to be her new coach.

Arrow has spent his entire life having to be perfect, but one night of accidents leads him to lose everything. His career, his girlfriend, and his mother's respect. Only Arrow is too angry to care. He's angry.

I loved this story. I loved Salem and Arrow so very much. Arrow was such a broken boy and I felt so much for him. His love for soccer and then him finding himself again. I loved how each new piece of information from him felt hard-won and I could tell that he had pushed away so many feelings of pain and hurt and neglect that he'd pushed his feelings to the brink of extinction. I loved how he slowly and quickly at the same time started to grow feelings for Salem even though he wasn't really aware of them.

Salem had so much love around him and it was just brilliant. I loved her and how caring she was for everyone in her life. I love how she had so much character to her. She was an amazing character who felt so much pain and love and everything for Arrow. I loved how she didn't let him push her around even though she loved him.

I freaking loved this book. Saffron A. Kent is on my list of authors I HAVE TO HAVE TO READ. From beginning to end this book was the bomb diggity. My Darling Arrow is an absolute must-read.
