The King must have his Queen...

Bestowed the forbidden Summer’s Kiss by the King of the Summer fae, Brighton Jussier is no longer just human. What she is, what she will become, no one knows for sure, but that isn’t her biggest concern at the moment. Now Caden, the King, refuses to let her go, even at the cost of his Court. When the doorway to the Otherworld is breached, both Brighton and Caden must do the unthinkable—not just to survive themselves, but also to save mankind from the evil that threatens the world.

My Review:
JLA is a queen. Seriously. Time and time again she just put together these amazing stories that leave me having to go back and re-read the entire series over and over. I have been on the edge of my seat anxiously awaiting the release of The Queen since last year when I read The King. It totally sucks when you get an ARC and then you'll have to wait even longer for the release.

The Queen was fabulous. The story picked up right where The King left off. Caden has expressed his feelings to Brighton and then Brighton got some startling news that could change their relationship forever. I don't want to say because (SPOILERS), but I will say I was super excited about everything. Brighton struggled with juggling her feelings for Caden with wanting him to be able to take care of his people.

Caden is just swoon-worthy. He is not book boyfriend material. He is book husband material. Seriously swoon. He expresses his feelings for Brighton and won't allow anything like duty get in the way of him loving her the way he knows she deserves.

Brighton struggles a lot at the beginning of the story. She sadly spends a lot of time in the hospital and then dealing with the after-effects of when she was being tortured. I love how much she grew, not just in this installation of the story, but throughout the last three books.

The Queen is a must-read. I loved this story. I love the Wicked universe. This whole series and this final installment are just beautifully done.
