Blog Tour: Like You Care by Kaydence Snow

Like You Care by Kaydence Snow is LIVE and FREE in Kindle Unlimited!

I am nothing.

I'd rather be invisible than deal with what happens on the days my classmates decide to acknowledge my existence.

But then Turner Hall shows up - all cool confidence and witty banter - and all of a sudden I don't want to be invisible any more. I want to be seen.

I want him to see me.

I'm not who he thinks I am but I'm starting to suspect he's not all he says he is either.

Just my luck that he starts to make friends with my tormentors. How am I supposed to tell him who I really am? How am I supposed to show him my true face? What if the boy I'm falling in love with decides I'm nothing too?

"Gripping is an understatement when it comes to this book. From start to finish this book is an emotional roller coaster that keeps you captivated. I ugly cried, I raged, I cheered so freaking hard for both Mena and Turner it's not even funny." ~Saucy Southern Readers Blog

My Review:
I don't know what it is, but I love bully stories. They just break my heart and draw me in like a moth to a flame. Like You Care was just beautiful and painful and just squeezed my heart with its beautiful writing.

Philomena or Mena is our main character and she is struggling. She has one more year of school and the bullying has been taken to a whole new level. Year after year her classmates physically, emotionally, and verbally abuse her. She's told her teachers and the principal and they constantly refuse to help her. Mena thinks this year will be just like the last until someone moves in next door and now she's got a crush. Turner. He doesn't know what Mena looks like, but they quickly become fast friends when they're not at school. Mena and Turner fall quick for each other, but it makes it complicated when Mena continues to not show Turner who she is.

I loved this story. Mena struggles with the bullying so much that it's affected how she sees herself and she won't allow her cousins to post pictures with her in them. Mena is one of those amazing characters who is so selfless that you just feel so much for them.

Turner is sweet and I enjoyed the story about why he moved to town and how he falls so quickly for Mena. I'm happy that he finally stuck up for her and didn't allow anyone to hurt her again. This was such a beautiful story about what it means to be a family and what it means to be a good person.
