Blog Tour: You're the One by Layla Hagen

Very Irresistible Bachelors #1
Release Date: February 4

It all started as pretend...

My best friend and one of the most powerful men in New York needed my help.

Our first kiss was unexpected --but it still made my skin sizzle, my knees go weak.

The next one was in front of his tight-knit family. We had to be convincing. But it was so wicked hot, it almost convinced me too.

On our first night together, he told me that I had to keep us both in check because he didn't know how to keep the lines from blurring...

He touched me like I was precious, and held me close...barely stopping his fingers from pushing down the straps of my dress...

On our second night, our banter turned to flirting.
Hunter --my best friend was now Hunter--the man.

Sexy as hell.

My Review:
I was very intrigued by the description of this book that I HAD to sign up for the blog tour. I am a huge sucker for friends-to-lover romance stories and You're the One did not disappoint.

Hunter and Josie have been best friends since forever ago. They'd do almost anything for each other and that becomes a necessity when Hunter gets told his Work VISA isn't going to be approved. Turning to his lawyer and best-friend he seeks their advice and they come up with marriage. Hunter knows Josie is special and the more the idea of becoming her husband sits with him, the more he wants to make it permanent.

I loved Hunter and Josie's story. I understood both sides and felt for both characters. I definitely understood Hunter's desperation since my best-friend is currently working through issues with her work VISA. But anyway, I digress. Josie, I think struggled with the marriage idea more than Hunter since I think Hunter proposing made it so he could finally think of Josie in that way. Josie was more or less worried that Hunter would change his mind once he had his green-card approved.

I loved their romance and enjoyed how Hunter was able to help Josie relax more and become more confident within their relationship.

There were a lot of ups and downs, a lot of which hurt Josie more than Hunter which sucked that she got the brunt of it, but I really enjoyed reading about her strength and getting her crap together.

This story is very cute and sweet. I think at times it dragged a wee for me, but I read it from beginning to end no problem.
