INSTANT ATTRACTION IS A POWERFUL THING.
Six months of dancing around each other led to one explosive night and two weeks without a word.
Only then did I learn the truth:
BUT WHAT IF ATTRACTION ISN’T ENOUGH
For over eight months I held back. Except for that one night when I couldn’t fight it anymore.
to at least let me keep her safe, even if she won’t give me another chance.
Inked was not what I expected at all. Seriously, I felt like the description gave no indication of what this story was about. Did that make me want to read this book more? Heck yes, it did!
Braden is an undercover cop who was falling fast and hard for the receptionist at the tattoo shop he was working with. Jess was everything he wanted in a woman, but he couldn't have her. Being on the job he didn't know whether he was going to be coming or going and he didn't want to do that to Jess. After six months of undercover work he gets the news he'll be staying undercover even longer and decides to take the plunge with Jess. The next day everything goes to crap and he's taken out from undercover work leaving Jess with no word.
Now weeks later he's back and he's going to do everything he can to get Jess to see that taking a chance with him is worth it. The day before he goes to see her, Jess is attacked. Now Braden will do everything in his power to protect her.
Oh, I so enjoyed Inked. Nothing like I thought it would be, although from the description you can tell I didn't have much to go on. This book was very enjoyable. I enjoyed Jess and Braden's characters and how they developed into better stronger people throughout the book. This story was unpredictable and full of surprises and loads of sexy scenes. Very enjoyable. The characters all had a lot of depth and I liked that I could tell how and what motivated each character.
Can't wait for the next book in the series.
When she isn’t writing, she can usually be found analyzing every line of a book, binge-watching shows on Netflix, doing strange vocal warm-ups before singing in a variety of musical styles, or screaming at the TV during Chicago Blackhawks games.
A graduate of Loyola University Chicago, she still lives outside Chicago, IL, where she was born and raised, with her boyfriend and her fur babies Lola and Duncan.
