July Recap

I know this is a late recap, but I am finally getting back in the swing of things. I had a very relaxing July. Everything got moved into the new house, I also spent time in Illinois with my in-laws and family, and I didn't have to cook for three weeks.

Nonbookish Info:
I went to the Cincinnati Zoo to meet Fiona the Hippo. Not my favorite zoo, but seeing Fiona was great.

I had a goal to binge read through authors and books a couple years ago. The idea was to a bunch of books together and binge read them like a Netflix show. Like the same author or books that are going to be movies or books about werewolves.

Series Challenge:

Miscelaneous Challenge

My goal was to get to 80% last year.  I started this year with 70% and am now 56%. Definitely not the direction I wanted to go, but last year it seemed like I would get one book read and then sent 8 more at one time.  It was insane and I really couldn't keep up. This year I'm aiming to read 2 Netgalley books a month. This month I read 3 books. I don't feel so bad about the other challenges since I fell a bit behind this month when reading these.

  • I start working my first official job soon
  • A friend of mine is coming to visit
  • My husband is starting his second year at work.
  • I'm hoping to finish my notebook

How was everyone's July? Anyone having a good August?
