Ace Locke is Hollywood’s hottest action hero. Women across the globe fling their panties in his direction, but Ace isn’t interested in those—he’s more of a boxer briefs kind of guy. Specifically, those of the nearly naked male model on a billboard he drives past every day.
Though he recently made headlines for his public coming out, Ace is wary about pursuing a relationship, fearing what the court of public opinion will do to his career. But there’s something in the model’s expression that intrigues him and has him wondering what if?
Dylan Prescott just scored his biggest modeling campaign yet. One that has him plastered all over L.A. in not much more than what he was born with. And when he’s cast in Ace’s latest blockbuster, it puts him in close proximity to his ultimate fantasy.
Outwardly confident, Dylan has no problem with his sexuality or his pretty-boy looks and uses both to his advantage to get what he wants. And what he wants is the impossible—Ace Locke.
From Ella Frank’s Sunset Cove series and Brooke Blaine’s L.A. Liaisons series comes a scorchingly hot novel that blends humor, passion, and romance.
My Review:Aced by Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine is one of the most fantastic books I have read to date. One of the problems with reading such amazing books is that I had a major book hangover. In my mind, very few books can compare to Aced. Thanks to author Roni Loren who got me into M/M books I have been hooked and looking for some good ones and found Aced in my Amazon recommendations. Instant love, I tell you. I will try my best to make sure I don’t gush over this book for my entire review, but we shall see.
Ace Locke is a super hot movie action star who recently came out as gay. Ever since the paparazzi have been stalking him looking for him with his very first boyfriend. Sadly the only guy Ace has found attractive is a Calvin Klein model on a billboard he drives miles out of his way to see every morning. When that same hottie from the billboard shows up on the set of Ace’s new movie things are about to become very complicated for both of them.
Dylan Prescott is a model who was offered a role in his favorite action heroes new movie. Dylan has had a crush on Ace since forever and to finally get to meet him is a dream for him. When they finally do meet it’s beyond hot. Dylan isn’t the type of person who has a filter so he lets Ace know exactly what he thinks of him, and exactly what he wants.
Ace and Dylan are so cute together. They have their complications but they make the most of it because they enjoy each other and the outside world doesn’t matter. They have to hide their relationship to a lot of people and can’t be seen in public together. While it would seem like that’s what would complicate the relationship it really didn’t. I like how the authors and the characters didn’t find arguments out of nothing to up the ante in the book.
Aced has amazing pacing I just zoomed right through this beauty. There’s a perfect amount of dialogue and inner monologue and description. I’m the type of reader who loathes too much description and inner monologue so I was happy that this book did such an amazing job at balancing out the three. Especially since Aced is a dual POV book both characters were covered very well and I felt like I knew both characters inside and out by the end.
The sexy times were just awesome. I seriously needed a fan going the entire time I was reading this story. And the hotel and car scene and the trailer and the…yeah you get my point. Lots of sexy hot times. Again these authors did a great job making this story not all about the sex. Sex wasn’t just to solve a problem in the story or to move the story along. It was a lot about the connection and trust the two characters were building together.
The ending will leave you screaming that you NEED the next book more than your next breath. For real. Major cliffhanger. I am super excited about what is to come next. Finding out more about Ace’s crazy world, finding out about Dylan’s past and just everything. I can’t wait.
If you couldn’t guess already I LOVED THIS BOOK and you need to read this book ASAP! It’s amazing and I couldn’t have been happier.
