Blurb:
Nothing is off-limits for this cowboy in USA TODAY bestselling author Charlene Sands's story of fame and redemption

Jilted by her ex-fiancé, Jessica Holcomb finds refuge at her former brother-in-law's beachfront Southern California mansion. There she discovers country superstar Zane Williams still hunkering down after the devastating loss of his wife.

These two wounded souls find their easy friendship healing. So Jess's sudden attraction to Zane comes as a complete shock. Even more shocking, Zane's acting like a jealous boyfriend, running interference with men who show interest. Is he just being overprotective? The answer becomes clear when Jess ends up in his bed…

Reese's Reviews:
Jessica has just been dumped by her fiancĂ© for one of her best friends and now she’s running off to stay with her dead sisters husband. Zane hasn’t forgiven himself for what happened to his wife and unborn child and hasn’t gotten over their death. With Jessica in the house all grown up and reminding him what it was like to be happy he wants to begin putting the past behind them and move on with her.

I really was not feeling this book. At all. First off, I didn’t really feel like Jessica wasn’t just a replacement wife for the one Zane had lost. He constantly compared them and that just made the whole book creepy. To top it off it just felt weird to read about someone sleeping with their sisters husband dead or not. My problem, but it was a creep factor I couldn’t get over.

Jessica is a cute character who after being hurt is trying to become a stronger her and stays with her ex-brother-in-law. There is an instant attraction that wasn’t there before when her sister was alive and when Zane shows and interest she begins to want a relationship with him. Zane doesn’t see his attraction to Jessica and instead his character hints at it through jealousy he also doesn’t notice.

I really just didn’t buy this story so I couldn’t get into it. The whole love connection just seemed unrealistic and out of nowhere and I just wasn’t feeling this book or the characters enough. The writing was fine although it had a bit too much description and not enough dialogue for me to fully enjoy.
