Blog Tour: Made for You by Lauren Layne

Three years ago, Brynn Dalton made a rare error in judgment and had a one-night stand with the one man she swore would never get into her designer panties. Will Thatcher was exactly the type of sexy playboy that good girls like Brynn stayed away from. And when Will moved across the country just days after their fling, Brynn vowed to put him behind her, even as the memories haunt her.

Now Will Thatcher is back, and just in time to see Brynn's perfectly structured life begin to crumble. Her job is dull, her social life is tedious, and Brynn's perfect cardiologist boyfriend doesn't seem to be in any hurry to get to Tiffany & Co. More than ever, Brynn needs her childhood nemesis to keep his distance.

But Will isn't content to be Brynn's dirty little secret any longer. This time, he's out to show Brynn Dalton that the imperfect man might just be the best mistake of her life.

Reese's Review:
Brynn Dalton is perfect, at least that’s the vibe she gives to everyone. She has the perfect smart boyfriend she’s been with for two years she’s intelligent with a great job, and has a great body. Except Brynn’s not perfect, not at all. Brynn lives by a strict code that has kept her life on track since high school. Nobody is making fun of her anymore, nobody except Will Thatcher, her long time nemesis. Will and Brynn have been enemies for a long time and after one night together Will left and now three years later he’s back.

Will has been in love with Brynn since high school. Becoming her nemesis was never part of the plan but he’d do anything to stay close to her. After that one night when it meant everything to him and nothing to her he left, and now he’s back for Brynn.

Honestly Made for You was not what I expected at all when I signed up for this tour. This love story definitely had its ups and downs, with more downs than ups. Brynn had no idea Will even liked her. Every encounter together had her trying to figure out how he was going to hurt her and so she was constantly defensive around him.

Brynn’s character went through a lot of major changes throughout this book. Right at the beginning of the book I could tell she was very unhappy with her life but unwilling to admit it. She had one very black and white view of the world and herself, which got her into a lot of trouble. She viewed Will as only a man-whore who added her as a notch on his belt. She had a hard time seeing what was real. Honestly though, I enjoyed her struggle to find herself and realize who she really was.

Will played the player card well but it was easy to see that he was definitely not as he appeared to be. He loved Brynn and even though both of them had a very twisted way of showing it, which Will liked to call “fifteen long years of foreplay”, I absolutely enjoyed their story.

Made for You is an adorable read that I couldn’t put down for a second. Seriously I forgot to eat. The characters are adorable, the storyline while predictable was nice enough and the writing was easy and enjoyable. Definitely marking Lauren Lane down as authors books I will be constantly checking into.

He locked his eyes on hers, telling her the truth for the first time in a long time. “Don’t you ever get tired of fighting, Brynny?”

He kept his tone light, but she must have read the intensity in his gaze because her blue eyes went slightly wide. “Do you?”

I don’t mind the squabbling. I just want more. But it was too soon. She still looked like a wary cat
ready to call her stupid boyfriend at the first sign of her being turned on. And he knew he could turn her on. Easily. Her eyes kept moving to his lips and her pupils were dilated.

She wanted him. She’d wanted him when she he’d kissed her in the driveway last week, and when he’d rubbed against her in the kitchen this morning, and she wanted him now.

But she wouldn’t take him. Not until she’d gotten rid of Jimmy what’s-his-name. If he kissed her now, she’d hate him. Hate herself for liking it when she was supposed to be loyal to an absent boyfriend.

He allowed himself one more lingering touch of his fingers on her palm. Just enough to remind her of what it had been like with them. Enough to have her sucking in her breath and springing away from him.
