Monthly Recap: September

September was a very good month! I got a lot of reading done: 24 books in total this month. I reviewed over 20 books this month, which is just awesome.

Outside of reading, I climbed a mother-freaking mountain with my husband and our friend. It was awesome. I got a new car due to mine dying a horrible death while driving it. I exercised three times a day for a week all month long. It's been great.

Work has started picking up finally so it's been less boring.

September was great overall greatness! I got a new haircut I still haven't gotten used to and did a lot of baking.

Nonbookish Stuff:

I climbed a mother-freaking mountain! Like a legit mountain. It was painful but amazing.

I had a goal to binge read through authors and books a couple years ago. The idea was to a bunch of books together and binge read them like a Netflix show. Like the same author or books that are going to be movies or books about werewolves. I finished 3 series this month! The Lynburn Legacy trilogy is finished. It was great! I also finished The Game Maker trilogy and the Baby Doll Trilogy! Three trilogies down!

Series Challenge:

Miscelaneous Challenge

My goal was to get to 80% last year.  I started this year with 70% and am now 56%. Definitely not the direction I wanted to go, but last year it seemed like I would get one book read and then sent 8 more at one time.  It was insane and I really couldn't keep up. This year I am done with that. My goal is to read 2 books from NetGalley a month. This month I've read 2 books, which was the plan. The other big thing I did was finally write all the reviews for the books I've read from NetGalley. That was a total of 17 book reviews I wrote!

  • I'm hoping to be good this month and not buy any books
  • I'm planning a discussion post
  • I'm also planning a Haloween giveaway
  • My goal is to get one series finished this month, two books read towards the miscellaneous, and two books on my TBR pile.

How was everyone's September?
