Monthly Recap: Where the Heck have I been for 3 Months?!?

Hiya everyone! I hope everyone is having a great year so far. I apologize for being gone for the last couple months. No personalized posts by me or anything. I had a difficult couple months. My school stuff was all due and it was just a very hectic time. I honestly was not feeling like myself. I didn't want to read or write or hang out with people. It was a very lonely time for me and I know my blog suffered because of that. Now that all my school stuff is finally turned in I can finally breathe. Also, my internet was cut out at the end of March and half way through April so I disappeared again. Hopefully, the rest of the year will be a bit easier because I won't have any looming assignments on my plate.

Nonbookish Stuff:
Celebrated my husband's 25th birthday with some friends. We went to dinner and played two rounds of pool that we lost.

I ate ice cream out of a donut because yum.

My sister and grandmother-in-law came to visit us and had some puppy time.

Song of the Month:

Bookish Stuff:
I went to a book signing and met Cinda Williams Chima. Super sweet.

Favorite Book(s) of the Month(s)

Book(s) that Surprised Me
I loved Broken Beautiful Hearts so very much and not that I was surprised I liked it, but just surprised by how much I liked it.

Under Pressure was surprising since I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. I started with the second book in the series and loved it so was a little let down when I got to the first one and felt meh.

Reading Challenge:
TBR: Read 20 books on my TBR pile list

I had a goal to binge read through authors and books a couple years ago. The idea was to a bunch of books together and binge read them like a Netflix show. Like same author or books that are going to be movies or books about werewolves.

I finished Amy Plum's Revenants Trilogy, The Damaged Trilogy, The Second Circle Tattoo series, and Lunar Chronicles.

Random pile: I have started Pure, but the book is so darn slow.

My goal was to get to 80% last year.  I started this year with 70% and am now at 57%. Definitely not the direction I wanted to go, but last year it seemed like I would get one book read and then sent 8 more at one time. It was insane and I really couldn't keep up. I have a plan for this year. I'm aiming to read 2 Netgalley books a month.

I am really hoping to fix myself this year and get the Netgalley stuff up to date. I also want to finish two books in my random pile.
How was everyone's month so far?
