Monthly Recap

January was a month I wasn't super happy with. I am down to about five months in my program and I am stressing big time. I started getting caught up on my comics which made me very happy. I still have about 20 or so more comics to read, but at the beginning of the year I have over 73 so I'm counting that as a win. Other than work I haven't been up to much. It's been tiring, to say the least. I really hope February is much better.

Song of the Month:

Bookish Stuff:

Favorite Book(s) of the Month:

Say You'll Remember Me by Katie McGarry and Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy #1) by Richelle Mead (10th Anniversary Edition) were my absolute favorites this month. I was super excited to read all the extra scenes from Vampire Academy. Plus Katie McGarry is always a win. Both great books I was happy to put on my shelf.

Book(s) that Surprised Me:

Caraval (Caraval #1) by Stephanie Garber is such a popular book that I felt like I HAD to get a copy. I was so disappointed with this book. I didn't enjoy this book at all. Clipped Wings (Clipped Wings #1) by Helena Hunting was a surprise as well. I didn't enjoy it a whole lot, but I didn't love it as much as I thouhgt I would.

I had a goal to binge read through authors and books a couple years ago. The idea was to a bunch of books together and binge read them like a Netflix show. Like same author or books that are going to be movies or books about werewolves.

I didn't get much read this month in terms of finishing any series this month but I did start on the Lunar Chronicles.

I finished Fairest and started Winter. I was hoping this would be the series I finished this month, but that sadly did not happen.

My goal was to get to 80% last year.  I started this year with 70% and am now at 57%. Definitely not the direction I wanted to go, but last year I would get one book read and then sent 8 more at one time. It was insane and I really couldn't keep up. I have a plan for this year. I'm aiming to read 2 Netgalley books a month.

How was everyones' January? Anything fun and exciting happen?
