About That Kiss
Heartbreaker Bay – Book 5
When love drives you crazy . . .
When sexy Joe Malone never calls after their explosive kiss, Kylie shoves him out of her mind. Until she needs a favor, and it’s a doozy. Something precious to her has been stolen and there’s only one person with unique finder-and-fixer skills that can help—Joe. It means swallowing her pride and somehow trying to avoid the temptation to throttle him—or seduce him.
the best thing to do . . .
No, Joe didn’t call after the kiss. He’s the fun time guy, not the forever guy. And Kylie, after all she’s been through, deserves a good man who will stay. But everything about Kylie makes it damned hard to focus, and though his brain knows what he has to do, his heart isn’t getting the memo.
… is enjoy the ride.
As Kylie and Joe go on the scavenger hunt of their lives, they discover surprising things about each other. Now, the best way for them to get over “that kiss” might just be to replace it with a hundred more.

Jill Shalvis needs to stop writing such darn amazing books. I'm just kidding, please don't stop writing amazing books.
About that Kiss had me rolling on the floor I was laughing so hard. The characters are so funny and since I've grown to love so many of them through the series I love keeping up with them with other books. Seriously very funny moments that couldn't be more enjoyable.
Kylie and Joe's story was beyond amazing and fun. Jill Shalvis always does an amazing job of having the right amounts of sexy scenes, character development, and having the characters have an actual relationship. Kylie and Joe shared a kiss and then he never called so Kylie assumed she got the brush off and tried to pretend it didn't matter. Oops on Joe's part because all he can think about is Kylie and that kiss.
I really enjoyed Kylie and Joe's story. Joe grew up really fast and continues to take on a lot of responsibilities when it comes to his family and his friends. He likes to think his time in the military straightened him out and calmed him down, which it did until Kylie. Kylie riles him up and it was fun to see how fast his control crumbled for her. Kylie had only one reliable family member and he died, leaving Kylie alone. Kylie works on building furniture and loves what she does. I loved how everything with this story played a role in the story and wasn't just some add-in.
About that Kiss is adorable. I read it in one sitting. The pacing is great, no areas felt rushed, the characters felt fully fleshed out and the book left plenty of time for the characters to grow. I really enjoyed how real everything felt. The story has an authenticity to it that isn't in a lot of books, but Jill Shalvis and her stories do very well. I felt like I could know these characters and could understand their motivations. Great story. If you haven't read any of these books that's okay, these books stand alone just fine.
