CAN’T GET ENOUGH Synopsis:

New York Times bestselling author Gena Showalter returns with a sizzling Original Heartbreakers tale, featuring a rough, tough bad boy brought to his knees by... a kindergarten teacher?

The king of one-night stands...

To inherit--and destroy--his father’s business at long last, Brock Hudson needs a temporary wife.  The ruthless ex-military heartthrob has always avoided romantic entanglements.  Women are sweet, but vengeance will be sweeter.  Or so he thinks. Only one woman will do, but the vulnerable beauty is more than he bargained for—sexier, wittier, and utterly irresistible.

The queen of the deep freeze…

After an abusive first marriage, Lyndie Scott has sworn off relationships.  But still she longs for a child of her own.  Turns out, the brawler who used to frighten her with only a glance is the answer to her problems.  She agrees to his proposal, with a caveat: spend every night in bed with her, then walk away for good when it’s time to divorce. Even if she’s pregnant.

A marriage of breathtaking inconvenience...

As the days pass too quickly and the nights heat up, Brock battles a sense of possession and obsession. Will the former commitment-phobe convince his wife they’re better off together, or will she pack her bags and go?

Reese's Review:
Lyndie’s story is finally here!!! Woo hoo!!!

Lyndie has had nothing but rotten luck when it comes to men. She was abused by her father and her deceased husband. Lyndie has spent the last few years running scared of men, afraid they’ll hurt her. Enter Brock who escaped his own rough past by entering the army. Now he lives in a town with his two best friends, their women, and Lyndie. Lyndie has gotten to know Brock since their friends run in the same circles and Lyndie has found herself more and more drawn to Lyndie. One day Brock gets news and discovers that his father died, left him the company, but only if he marries. Desperate Brock asks Lyndie. The nervous woman he’s been attracted to since he first saw her. The marriage has some stipulations though: there’s a time limit and Lyndie was a baby from Brock who will sign over all parental rights to Lyndie.

Brock and Lyndie’s story is one I’ve been craving for some time. I loved Brock’s and Lyndie’s story. I liked the sexiness and the cuteness all wrapped into this story. Lyndie and Brock both have a lot of hang-ups but are so perfect together.

Brock was neglected and abused and so he had to join the service or risk jail. Brock’s got a protective streak a mile wide and he’s exactly what Lyndie needs. Lyndie never wants to depend on another man again and so she has some obvious hang ups off the bat with them having a relationship with a marriage and a baby.

This story has it all, romance, friendship, sexiness, a little bit of danger, and so much love. I love the small town they’re in and love how the story really gives all the characters and the town a life of its own.

A great read so definitely pick it up.

Brock opened her car door to help her out. Hand in hand—a development she liked a little too much—they headed inside a chrome and glass building. Crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling, illuminating dresses that cost more than she made in a year. The scent of money saturated the air. Or what she believed money would smell like if it bathed in perfumed oils and rolled in a bed of rose petals.
Another amazement? No other customers were present because Brock had booked the entire salon for a private appointment.
With his mouth at her ear, he whispered, “I want to see you in every gown.”
Knees growing weak, she nodded. Then she allowed a salesgirl to lead her into a room.
As Lyndie modeled different dresses, Brock lounged on a couch. All the while, heat blazed in his eyes, and masculine awareness knotted the muscles in his shoulders. He gripped his knees as if to hold himself in place.
He really did have a gown fetish. Or maybe he just wanted to make a move on her?
“You are exquisite, Scottie.”
“Thank you.” Desire nearly felled her and definitely made breathing a little more difficult. Only one thing kept her upright. Feminine power. How badly can I make him want me?
Not going to find out. Not today. But soon.
After a salesgirl served him a glass of champagne, Lyndie said, “I feel like we’re living Pretty Woman.”
“If you want to take this fantasy a step further, I’m game.” The words were a low rasp, yet they exuded enough sultry heat to tempt a woman to strip anytime, any place.
Feigning nonchalance, she said, “So we’ll pretend you’re a prostitute with a heart of gold and I’m your sugar momma?”
“Exactly.” He didn’t miss a beat. But then, he never did. “I’ll do whatever you pay me to do.”
And once again, desire threatened to fell her. Her knees shook, her body softening, readying for his possession. “How would I pay you? What currency?”

“What else? Orgasms.”
