Monthly Recap

Oh my gosh this year is flying by so quickly. June was my month to fully have off and it's been laziness to the extreme. I've spent time with family and friends. We had a graduation party for my husband and I. In June I worked so hard on getting my stuff together for my blog. I celebrated my 5 year Bloggiversary with a giveaway. I started my Comic Corner with one post this month, and my Movie/TV review tab is now up with two reviews in there. I spent two days updating my reviews to my "My Reviews" page which took forever. About 9 hours of just adding reviews. My book reviews are almost all caught up, I have about 5 left but all the books are from this month and not last year so I'm counting that as a win. My husband and I are planning on moving soon and this month we found an apartment to move into and so we started packing up our old apartment.
Nonbookish Stuff:

Song of the Month:

Bookish Stuff:

Favorite Book(s) of the Month:
I read almost this whole series in about two days. Loved the Mythos Academy and I know I will be rereading these books time and time again.

Book(s) that Surprised Me:
The Problem with Forever was sooo freaking good. I loved the story from beginning to end. I was surprised I liked it since I hadn't been liking JLA's books for the past year so to come back and like this one was awesome. I have written the review, but not posted it yet, so keep your eyes peeled for it if you want to see my thoughts.

Last year I had a goal to binge read through authors and books. The idea was to group a bunch of books together and binge read them like a Netflix show. I've been steadily making progress for these challenges, but since I have been visiting family for the last couple months, I wasn't able to bring every book towards my challenges.

 Binge #1

Binge #2: This challenge has been getting harder and harder. I started reading The Fiery Heart so my hope is to finish the Bloodlines Series before I move in a couple weeks.

Binge #3: I finished Bloodspell this month. Sadly it wasn't very good, but not every book will be so no biggie. Now I know and now it's off my TBR Pile!

Harry Potter Series: Finished the second and third book in the HP series. Loving them so darn much it's crazy.

Netgalley: I got a bunch of books reviewed, but then a bunch of books were sent to me.

What's Coming in July:

  • Moving: I am moving in July. It's going to be a very hectic time which means I am going to be posting a lot of reviews during that time and TBR posts and such. The plus side is all of that work is done for me, but I won't be reachable for about a week while everything becomes situated.

Books in July I'm Excited for:

How was everyone's June? Does it seem like this month and year is going by very quickly?
