About Famous by Default:
Jax doesn't want to be famous. Stalked by rabid fans and the paparazzi, he dreams of better days when things were normal. But those days are gone. No one can stay under the radar if you're from the Jaynes family. He doesn't trust anymore.

Sivan doesn't have a family. As a part of the foster care system, all she wants is to finish doing her time and move out and on. She doesn't love anymore.

Jax and Sivan are thrust together on a small-town farm in Mount Vernon, Iowa. They take an immediate dislike of one another, trying at every opportunity to trip each other up. They don't want to acknowledge they might be more similar than they first thought.

Will they stay stuck in their past, hanging on to their lack of trust and love? Or can they change before it's too late?

Reese's Reviews
Famous by Default was beyond amazing. I loved everything about this story and I couldn’t put this story down for a second.

Jax’s brothers are famous, they formed a band and Jax wants no part in it. Sadly, this makes people want him more. After he’s attacked twice his parents decide to send Jax to live with his Aunt Betty. Jax wants his life back and hates that his brothers became famous and that his parents choose their careers over him.

Enter Sivan. Sivan has lost everything, her family, her home, and has been moved around to more foster families with sickos in them. Now she’s being moved to live with a woman named Betty. At first, she thinks everything about Betty is too good to be true, turns out it’s not. Sivan and Betty begin to become close friends, like mother and daughter. Betty gives Sivan space and doesn’t pry into her life from before she came to live with her. Everything is perfect until Jax shows up. Now Jax and Sivan are constantly butting heads and avoiding the attraction between each other. Jax begins to fall in love with Sivan, but when tragedy strikes and Sivan begins to pull away, Jax tries to find out what happened to Sivan from before, and all Hell breaks loose.

Famous by Default, what an amazing Title to an amazing book. I couldn’t have loved the characters more in this story that I do now.

Jax is a bit self-centered in the beginning of the story. He doesn’t want to be famous, and just wants to have a normal life. His brothers fame too that from him and he becomes bitter. After moving in with Aunt Betty Jax begins to change and grow into a better person.

Sivan has had nothing but crap sandwiches thrown at her for a long time. She’s guarded to a lot of people, but also caring and protective. I liked her character a lot. She’s suffered so much, but was still a good and decent person.

This book ending completely wrecked me, but I couldn’t have loved it more. The story is about life and sadly life happens, and Sivan and Jax slowly learn how to cope with it.
