Blurb:
First there are nightmares. Then come the memories. Now she must hunt.

Ellie can’t shake the terrifying dreams about monstrous creatures that are hunting her, killing her. Then she meets Will and feels on the verge of remembering something just beyond her grasp. His attention is intense and romantic, and Ellie feels like her soul has known him for centuries. When they meet on a dark street at midnight, Will awakens Ellie’s power, and she knows that she can fight the creatures that stalk her in the grim darkness. Will holds the key to Ellie’s memories, whole lifetimes of them, and she can no longer pretend anything was just a dream.

Her role is to hunt and kill the reapers that prey on human souls. In order to survive, she must also hunt for the secrets of her past lives, the dangerous and ancient battle of the angels and the Fallen, and truths that may be too frightening to remember.

Reese's Reviews:
Ellie was a normal girl. Sure she had problems like her father being a total jerk, and her friend liking her, continual nightmares, getting a car, and homework. Normal every day teen problems. That is until she meets Will and while taking a walk she’s attacked by a reaper and Will unlocks her powers. Now she’s being attacked by reapers and trying to figure out who Will is in this life, because she has had many. See a normal teenager right?

Ellie is fantastic. She totally kicks bootay and grows from a girl who only cares about parties to a girl who cares about parties and kicking reaper butt. I did wish she wasn’t so concerned about the parties, because seriously go kick some butt, but I get her wanting a normal life.

Angelfire and Ellie’s life are the perfect examples for why I love YA novels so much. Sure maybe I’m stressed out over homework and what the heck I plan on doing with the rest of my life, but at least I don’t have to save the world while doing it.

Will is swoon worthy awesoness. He kicks butt, protects Ellie, and is overall the sweetest guy ever. I enjoyed reading about how his past is so entwined with Ellie’s and how faithful he is to her.

Angelfire and Moulton’s writing were fantastic. I am super excited to read the next two books (which I have on my shelf). There are so many unanswered questions and I MUST know the answers!!!

If you’re looking for a fabulous action adventure romance…you know the usual YA novel you need to pick this up. So many twists and surprises around every corner that may or may not have led me to read between classes.
