Review: THE VOYEUR NEXT DOOR by Airicka Phoenix

BOOK BLURB:

He lived next door.
Alison Eckrich was an expert at being invisible. Having been raised by a mother who saw only flaws, she had learned long ago to watch and never participate. Until him. He was gorgeous from what little she could make out through his bathroom window and he awakened things inside her she had always been told was wrong. But she didn’t care.
She was addicted.
Gabriel Madoc was no stranger to the cold sting of betrayal. His broken heart had left him hard and bitter and that was how he liked it. Until her. She was a vision in the soft twilight. Everything about her called to him. It didn’t even matter he couldn’t see her face.
He wanted her.
The book will be on sale for .99 cents for a limited time!

Reese's Reviews:
This book was fantastic!!!!!! It was heartfelt, sexy, and relatable. Everything you could ever want in a book the Voyeur Next Door is absolutely beautiful.

Ali has finally escaped her past. She escaped her abusive mother, her boring brother, and is slowly escaping her self-esteem issue. When Ali helps an old man on the street and he offers her a job she doesn’t take it at first due to his rude grandson, but eventually she knows she needs to work. Working in a garage is harder than she thought and not because she doesn’t know anything about cars, her boss is an ars to her constantly and then he’s super sweet. Then she meets Q. Q is everything she could want. A voyeur like her and a sexual deviant, he understands her like nobody else ever has. Then she finds out they’re the same person and their relationship becomes a whole not more complicated.

Gabriel doesn’t do relationships and he doesn’t do women. He hasn’t since his girlfriend had a terrible trauma six years before and he never forgave himself. Now he’s closed off and the only thing he cares about are his family, his small group of friends, and the garage. When his grandfather hires Ali he doesn’t want her there. When he tries everything to keep her away and she continues to come back he knows he needs to give up and let her work there, but it isn’t so easy. The two have chemistry; chemistry he is hoping to keep to his little voyeur next door with a no strings attached relationship. When he finds out his neighbor is Ali he knows he has to have her despite his bad relationship.

The Voyeur Next Door is absolutely fabulous. I love Ali’s quirky personality and how she grew from such a timid character to someone who could eat and talk about herself and love herself. I love how Gabriel went from a cold jerk into a sweet caring man who didn’t hide himself off from the world. I also loved how this story wasn’t all about sex and actually had a story. I wish there had been more too it, since we only got one date but I that’s okay.

Overall I really enjoyed this story. I laughed, I cried, I couldn’t put this story down. This was a great read I can’t wait to dig into again.
