LOVE IS A DEAL BREAKER . . .

Millionaire ad executive Landon Downey has a policy: no romantic relationships allowed. So when he's saddled with his six-year-old nephew for a week, he doesn't think twice about asking Kimber Reynolds to act as live-in nanny. What he doesn't expect is the undeniable attraction to the woman he hasn't seen since they were kids. And not only does she like him back-she suggests they work their way down a list of extracurricular activities in the bedroom. How can he resist?

Kimber wants to prove once and for all that she can love 'em and leave 'em with the best of them. All she has to do is keep her sixteen-year crush on Landon out of the equation. No problem . . . until she realizes she may not be the only one whose heart has gotten completely tangled up in their no-strings agreement.

Reese's Review:
Landon has been hurt before by a woman and has just been dumped again by his long-standing fiancĂ©e. He doesn’t do romance or relationships anymore. When he is designated to babysit his nephew he has no idea what he’s supposed to do so he hires a nanny. Kimber grew up with Landon’s family and after being in a bind with owning a business with her ex-boyfriend she takes the babysitting gig to buy him out. Kimber has also been in love with Landon since she’s been a kid. When Kimber and Landon find they have an instant connection they begin testing their relationship.

Kimber always falls for the men she’s with so predictably when she finally meets the man of her dreams she thinks it’s just her falling for the wrong guy again. She tries to take the relationship slow but begins falling for him hard and fast just like she did when she was younger.

Landon got his heart broken by his ex-girlfriend and now he never wants to be hurt like that again. He dedicates himself to work and family. When he sees Kimber again though all grown up he finds an instant connection. Now he’s wondering if he can have any type of relationship with the girl who has always been in love with him.

Okay so I was really enjoying this story. Kimber and Landon had great chemistry, the writing is enjoyable and the whole story was interesting. Then the ending happened and I was done. Kimber after saying for 98% of the book claimed she wanted to be a strong independent woman who works and provides for herself and then she just gives up on that because Landon suggested it. There was no real development there. It was completely disheartening.

Overall the book was enjoyable enough but the ending really ruined it for me.
