Kidnapped from Earth and abandoned in Asgard of Norse mythology, Dani Avery must fight to return home. When she stumbles upon a band of outlaws, Prince Rein agrees to take her to the Rainbow Bridge personally. Although Dani is attracted to the handsome elf, his only interest seems to be in separating her from the magical sword and shield at her side. In Asgard City, rules, regulations and bureaucrats stymie Dani’s quest. Increasingly frustrated and desperate, she seeks help among powerful immortals. Unfortunately, Dani becomes ensnared in a devious trap that may leave her stranded and alone in Asgard forever.

My Review:

I received a copy of The Druid for an honest review.

Dani Avery craves adventure in her boring life working for the family business. When Emrys a regular drops off his coat for a dry cleaning and invites Dani to his book signing the next day Dani doesn’t think she could be any more excited. When putting Emrys coat away however Dani notices he left something is his jacket and thinks she’ll pocket it to bring it to him the next day. Too bad when Dani steps outside her shop two non-human beings grab and transport her to Asgard where she must use her wits and knowledge from Emrys book to get out of Asgard and back home. On her adventure Dani runs into Prince Rein an elf who agrees to help her home. But someone sent the crows that picked her up and that someone will do anything to get back at Emrys: The Druid for abandoning her. Now Rein and Dani must find a way to contact Oden to stop his wife Frigga from killing Emrys.

The Druid was a short yet enjoyable story with many twists and turns that I didn’t expect. Dani was a great main character as she’s strong, adaptable, and sometimes funny. Overall, I enjoyed the story I just wish there had been more.
