Synopsis:
Fairytales aren’t real…yeah…that’s exactly what Bianca thought. She was wrong.

For generations, the Frost family has run the Museum of Magical and Rare Artifacts, handing down guardianship from mother to daughter, always keeping their secrets to “family only.”

Gathered within museum’s walls is a collection dedicated to the Grimm fairy tales and to the rare items the family has acquired: Cinderella’s glass slipper, Snow White’s poisoned apple, the evil queen’s magic mirror, Sleeping Beauty’s enchanted spinning wheel…

Seventeen-year-old Bianca Frost wants none of it, dreaming instead of a career in art or photography or…well, anything except working in the family’s museum. She knows the items in the glass display cases are fakes because, of course, magic doesn’t really exist.

She’s about to find out how wrong she is.

My Review:
I received a copy of this book for an honest review

Bianca Frosts story starts like any other. She's working at the Museum of Magical and Rare Artifacts owned which has been past down from generation to generation through her family. Bianca works with her mother in the museum cleaning while her mother tells the grand stories of Snow White, Cinderella and the like. While the museum is supposed to feel magical and amazing all Bianca feels is the need to escape this life that has been thrust upon her. She wants to be anything other than the future owner of the Museum Bianca and her mother have worked so very hard to keep open and preserve.

One night while Bianca is over at her best and only friends Ming's house. After watching movies, together Bianca comes home to the surprise of her life. Her mother is a battle against an ugly witch in her back yard. After that incident Bianca's mother hurries to teach Bianca everything she knows about witchcraft so she can defend herself so when the evil witch Lenore finally comes back they'll both be ready. Bianca also finds about more and more about herself, her family and how they all tie back to the museum and well Snow White. Finding out about her lineage and her powers Bianca begins to realize that her father didn't just disappear.

Everything in Bianca's life seems to be going great. That is until Lenore comes back with a vengence and a warning. Bring her a magical spell book she wants or Bianca's mother dies, and with that Bianca's mother disappears. After that it is a race against time to find the book, and figure out a way to find Bianca's mother before it's too late. With Ming and a few unlikely friends Bianca makes her way to a magical world to find her mother...or die trying.

Overall great book. Not too cliche with the whole Snow White story. I love how she put a spin on the tale with everything that happened. So amazing. The world that Liz DeJesus created was amazing, as was the tale. First Frost does contain romance, fight scenes, hot guys, magical powers and even an appearance or two from The Big Bad Wolf! Hope you pick up a copy!

Favorite Quote:
I cut a tad out so I wouldn't give too much away but I seriously loved this scene.
""And..." Bianca shook her head as she tried to find the right words to describe Terrance. "He's kind, smart, handsome and sweet. He's an amazing kisser and I wouldn't mind it one bit if I spent the rest of my like making out with him."
"Really?"
"Now I wish I would have kept that last part to myself," Bianca muttered as she covered her face in shame.
In the distance, she heard Terrence chuckle."
