Get Me Off the Shelf #2

"Get Me Off the Shelf is inspired by "From the Pile from Stepping Out of the Page blog. I got this from Sherri's FIK*TISH*UHS Reviews.

The aim of this meme is to showcase books that you own, but just haven't got around to reading yet. It could be a book you bought yesterday or years ago. Maybe you even have a few books on your eReader just waiting to be swiped to open the pages.

1. Give a synopsis of the book with image.
2. Tell us why you haven't read the book yet, including when you got the book (if you remember).
3. Link the post in the linky below.
4. Visit other blogs and post!
Blood Red Road (Dust Roads #1)  Moira Young

 Synopsis:
Saba has spent her whole life in Silverlake, a dried-up wasteland ravaged by constant sandstorms. The Wrecker civilization has long been destroyed, leaving only landfills for Saba and her family to scavenge from. That's fine by her, as long as her beloved twin brother Lugh is around. But when a monster sandstorm arrives, along with four cloaked horsemen, Saba's world is shattered. Lugh is captured, and Saba embarks on an epic quest to get him back. Suddenly thrown into the lawless, ugly reality of the world outside of desolate Silverlake, Saba is lost without Lugh to guide her. So perhaps the most surprising thing of all is what Saba learns about herself: she's a fierce fighter, an unbeatable survivor, and a cunning opponent. And she has the power to take down a corrupt society from the inside. Teamed up with a handsome daredevil named Jack and a gang of girl revolutionaries called the Free Hawks, Saba stages a showdown that will change the course of her own civilization.
Blood Red Road has a searing pace, a poetically minimal writing style, violent action, and an epic love story. Moira Young is one of the most promising and startling new voices in teen fiction.

Why I haven't Read it Yet:
Honestly? I have no idea why I haven't read this yet. It's been sitting on my shelf for almost a year now and all I do is look at it and wonder why I haven't picked it up yet. Pretty sad right? I know I'll eventually read it, I just haven't gotten around to it.

If you have read this book, I would love to hear your thoughts about it so maybe I can have a bit more motivation in reading this book. What book is wanting to get off your shelf?
